We do the cleanup

Collect your paperwork

Do I really need this? Can't I just... cancel stuff myself? +
Yes, you can cancel it yourself. You could also do your own taxes. Most founders don't — not because they're lazy, but because tracking down every SaaS subscription, issuing pro-rata Stripe refunds, drafting customer emails, and doing a GDPR-compliant data deletion across 4 different services takes a full day you'll never get around to having. We've done this enough times to do it fast and not miss anything.
What if I want to revive the company later? +
Then don't bury it yet. Last Rites is for companies you're done with. We give you a full data archive before anything is deleted, and we'll remind you several times before we start. Once the process begins, it's irreversible — that's the whole point. If you're 50/50 on whether you're done, wait until you're sure.
How do I know what subscriptions my dead company even has? +
You probably don't, which is part of the problem. We find them for you by scanning the company's email inbox for recurring billing receipts (Stripe, PayPal, Braintree) and cross-referencing with the SaaS services common in your stack. We'll show you the full list before we cancel anything, so you can confirm we got them all.
Is my customer data safe? What do you actually do with it? +
We export it into a zip file, deliver it to you over an encrypted link, then permanently delete it from all connected services. We don't store it, we don't analyze it, we don't do anything with it except hand it to you and make it stop existing in places it shouldn't. That's what a proper shutdown looks like.

The only optional add-on is LLC dissolution at $149 extra (US LLCs only — we have to file actual legal paperwork, which has hard costs).
